feelings en francais

Mon Oct 4, 2004, 4:08 PM
Les sanglots longs
Des violons
De l'automne
Blessent mon coeur
D'une langueur
Monotone.

Tout suffocant
Et bleme, quand
Sonne l'heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
et je pleure

et je m'en vais
Au vent mauvais
Qui m'emporte
Deca, dela
Pareil a la
feuille morte.

-Paul Verlaine

Il a mis le cafe
dans la tasse
il a mis le lait
dans la tasse de cafe
il a mis le sucre
dans le cafe au lait
avec la petite cuiller
il a tourne
il a bu le cafe au lait
et il a repose la tasse
sans me parler

il a allume
une cigarette
il a fait des ronds
avec la fumee
il a mis les cendres
dans le cendrier
sans me parler
sans me regarder

Il s'est leve
il a mis
son chapeau sur sa tete
il a mis son manteau de pluie
parce qu'il pleuvait
et il est parti
sous la pluie
sans une parole
sans me regarder

et moi j'ai pris
ma tete dans ma main
et j'ai pleure.

-Jacques Prevert

I thought as much for the debate… poor bush… no strong companies or smart(er) aides to support him during a live debate now lol. The American Dream is pretty crap… my main priority when I visit Canada (although I wont be again due to family issues… again) is firstly my father, and secondly to buy stuff. The exchange rate is to die for :D 1 euro is worth 1dollar and 24 cents American, 1dollar 68 cents Canadian (I think).

Yeah, helping people is a great thing, but at one point I found myself doing it too often, for people who really didn’t deserve it – those materialistic people we both dislike… all whinnying behind their stacks of money about their “horrible” lives and so on… you sometimes notice that they never seem to have big issues when either Christmas or their birthday comes along… probably because of all the new toys they will have to play with that will further alienate themselves from their family and such.

Speaking of Christmas though, I also love giving stuff to people… just, presents and all… the cheer, the joy, the surprise… what-have you. People… just light up… the ones who deserve presents at least. They carry a small smile on their face, and thank you from their heart for real – not some shallow thanks muttered as they play with something they might give away less than two weeks later.

You “totally” fell UP the stairs at school?? How did that happen lol. Funny thing to have happen =)

I don’t know if I have a signature symbol… and don’t have much with any symbol in particular. I suppose if I had a symbol though, I’d make have it as a stick man with a halo above him, like in that old TV series (although they made more recent movie of it all) “the saint” here, it looks something like : [link] . I don’t know why, but I get the nick-name the saint a lot, in a nice way, and a friend of mine insists I sound like the character off of the 1997 film; (“smooth and considerate” were his words here) so all in all I guess it would be appropriate if I were to have a signature symbol or the like. I quite liked the film anyways =)

All Europeans just hang out… I sometimes go down to the “Garrette” and have a “gallao” with a friend =) the Garrette is a famous café in Estoril, and a gallao (without the accent as am on an American keyboard) is like a latte. Everything is so old fashioned here… I love it. From cobblestones to the churches, ringing their ancient bells… to the crowded streets of ancient Lisbon, to the accordions sweetly singing from old room’s open windows… I would toast to it all.

Of course, there is also the beach, but that is soon to end with the bad weather and all.

Alrite, I’m heading off to actually go clubbing (because things only start getting up around here at 12:30 am +) – so I hope you enjoy your movie dear. =D
